How to stream iOS games with Mixer Create

Mixer Create is now a slow burner since, in iOS 11, the app was at the mercy of Apple’s ReplayKit to stream games. Those who like streaming could use Mixer Create to do their own “IRL” stream and broadcast themselves with the camera on their iPhone/iPad.

The latest version of Mixer Create is a very great application, and it’s super easy to use. Although it isn’t perfect, it’s better than the rest. Here’s how to use it for stream games on your iPhone/iPad.

Mixer Create and ReplayKit

Broadcasting with Mixer Create requires an iOS version that is later than iOS 11. Moreover, the game you will be playing needs to support Apple’s ReplayKit. However, the trouble is, if the developer’s app doesn’t support ReplayKit, you will not be able to use it.

Inside the app, you will fairly see basic controls, and you can make a little change to the quality of your stream. However, with or without ReplayKit, you won’t be able to directly start a game stream in Mixer Create.

If you rely on ReplayKit, there aren’t games out there supporting it. Some of them are Star Trek Timelines and Modern Combat 5: Breakout.
