Honor 10 Introduced With Kirin 970 SoC, Under-Glass Fingerprint Scanner

After teasing videos of Honor 10 over past couple of weeks, Honor has finally wrapped off their smartphone in its global launch event held in London. The Honor 10 will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart in India at the price of Rs 32,999. The pre-orders will start tonight at 12:00 am.

Design and Specs

Although the camera is the main highlight of the phone, the premium design like the Huawei P20 Pro is also a highlight. Called the Aurora Glass design, Honor 10 will reflect vivid colors from every angle and you will see two different colors.

The device will be available in four color options, including Phantom Blue, Phantom Green, Phantom Gray and Midnight Black, which is quite fetching.

In terms of specs, Honor 10 features a 5.84-inch FullView display with a resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels and a trendy notch. Powering the phone is the Huawei’s in-house Kirin 970 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB of storage options.

Honor 10 makes it impressive with an under-glass ‘ultrasonic’ fingerprint scanner merged at the bottom bezel. The plus point is that Honor still keeps a 3.5mm audio jack on its Honor 10.

The Honor 10 will come with a dual rear camera setup at the back with a primary 24-MP f1.8 monochrome sensor and another 16-MP RGB f1.8 sensor. Both of them feature a dual-core phase detection auto-focus (PDAF).

To catch the trend, Honor also adds AI features on the phone’s camera, which makes it possible to recognize more than 500 scenes in 22 categories in order to help users take better pictures. These AI features helps you easily get portrait shots as well as 3D portrait shots, coming with studio lighting effects, which have probably been cloned from the iPhone X.

In the front-facing camera department, the Honor 10 sports an “enhanced-ISO” 24-MP snapper paired with 4-in-1 light fusion and multi-frame image processing, which is expected to offers excellent selfie moments with the help of the powerful AI-backed camera.

Being preinstalled EMUI 8.1 skin on top based on Android 8.1 Oreo, the Honor 10 will have a number of interesting features like lock screen games, which let you have some fun without having to unlock your phone. The face unlock feature is also found on this device to make use of 24MP front-facing camera.
