Trouble with Alarm Volume or Ringtone
If you just overslept and you realized that the alarm wasn’t ringing, then you should make sure that you already set the alarm volume at a high level to wake you up. You can increase the ringer volume by unlocking your iPhone and using the volume keys to crank it up before you sleep.
However, you should note that iOS has two types of volume settings, including ringer volume and media volume. The media volume controls all the in-app, music, video and games volume, while the ringer volume takes responsibility for the ringtone, notification, and alarm sounds volume.

Make sure the sound you set for your alarm. To do this, head to Clock -> Alarm -> Edit -> Sound. If the tone is ‘None’, then the alarm would will play no sound. Another solution is deleting your existing alarm and create new one.
Finally, reboot your device by holding the Power button to switch of your iPhone, then turn it back again. If it still does not work, then you should make a reset by holding down both the Power button and Home button (on iPhone 7/7 Plus is Volume Down key) at the same time until you see the Apple logo. After that, release all buttons. Your device will go to the home-screen and check if the alarm works.
