How to Update HTC One M9 Android 7.1.1 Nougat Lineage OS ROM

But before installing Android Nougat Lineage ROM for your device, you need to note something first.

  • This ROM is only for HTC One M9 and if you flash it on any other Android devices, it can end to brick the device.
  • It will delete all the data inside the internal storage, so make sure you created a full backup first.
  • Charge the battery up to at least 60% to ensure the device will not die during the Rom installation process.
  • You also need a custom recovery such as TWRP, CWM installed on you device as well as unlock the bootloader to flash this Rom.

Steps to flash Android Nougat Lineage OS Rom on HTC One M9

  • First, download the Android 7.1.1 Nougat Lineage ROM file as well as Google Gapps for your HTC One M9.
  • Next, transfer the downloaded files into the internal storage/ SD card of your handset, and remember not to put them in any folder. Then power off your device and then boot your device into custom recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume up + Volume down+ Power buttons at a same time.
