If you are getting pissed off with annoying status updates flooding your Facebook news feed, no more worry! because now you can hide those annoying pages and friends from your news feed. Facebook recently introduced easier way to unfollow and re-follow pages, groups and people in facebook to control what shows in their news feed.
According to Facebook product manager, Greg Mara in a blog post ;
News Feed settings will now show a list of the top people, Pages and Groups that you’ve seen in your News Feed over the past week. You can choose to sort by people, Pages or Groups posts, or see an overall summary. Unfollow any friend, Page or Group if you don’t want to see their stories in your News Feed. You can also see who you’ve unfollowed in the past and can choose to re-follow them at anytime.
How To Hide Annoying Pages Or Friends From Facebook News Feed
If you see a status updates you’re not interested in or don’t want to see,
– Tap the arrow in the top right of that story as shown bellow
– So, to hide a particular status updates from your Facebook news feed, click on the “I don’t want to see this”.
– To unfollow page, groups or people in facebook to control what shows in your facebook news feed, that is, if you don’t want to see any of their stories in your News Feed, tap the top-left corner of the post of page, group or friend.
– Then click on the Unfollow option.
Note : Unfollowing people does not mean you unfriend them but simply means you are tired of seeing their status updates on your facebook news feed. Also, unfollowing a page does not mean you unlike it but definitely hiding their updates from your facebook news feed.
