Using Firefox private browsing mode is a great way to tell your browser not to track or store your browsing history. How to open a new private window on firefox browser
You can do this in two different ways which depends.
- Opening a new blank window ; You can do this by clicking on the firefox button at the top right corner of your browser, then click on “new private window” then you will see a new window where youc start your private browsing.
- Opening link in a new private window ; If you want to open a link in a private window , right click on link and select “open in new private window” then the link will open in a new window where you can enjoy your private browsing.
How will i know am on Private Window ; Whenever you are on private browsing session , that is in private window, the firefox icon at the top left corner of your browser will be purple color instead of the normal firefox color. see the bellow screenshot

HOW TO MAKE FIREFOX BROWSER START IN PRIVATE WINDOW ALWAYS
If you want your firefox browser to always start in private window whenever you launch the browser, then follows the bellow step carefully ;
– Goto Tools > Options ( this depends if you have menu bar at the top of your browser but if not, just clcik on the firefox icon > Options.
– Now click on the Privacy tab , and select “use custom settings for history” in Firefox will remeber ; box , after selecting this , you will see some options next to the box , tick this option ” always use private window mode” , you will see a pop up that firefox must restart to enable the feature, clcik Ok and you are good to go.
Alternative method ; Follow the previous method but instead of selecting “use custom settings for history” in Firefox will remeber ; box , select “never remember history” instead. But note that if you enter private window with this method, the firefox icon at the top will not change to purple but the normal firefox icon.
