APPLE ANNOUNCED A DEAL TO BRING iPHONE TO CHINA MOBILES BY JANUARY

Apple confirmed an agreement with China Mobile to offer the iPhone on the China mobile by next month, The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be available on China Mobile starting by January 17, Pre-registration of the phones will begin on China Mobile’s website and through its customer service hotline on Christmas Day. though pricing and terms of deal were not revealed yet.

According to research from Canalys, Apple holds an 8% market share in China, 21% in Samsung, 13 % in Lenovo.Also Chinese company’s Yulong Computer Telecommunication has an 11% market share while Huawei has 9%.

With the new deal, Apple is looking to change all these with the agreements Apple already has with
China Telecom and China Unicom.

“Apple has enormous respect for China Mobile and we are excited to begin
working together. China is an extremely important market for Apple and our
partnership with China Mobile presents us the opportunity to bring iPhone to the
customers of the world’s largest network,” – said Apple CEO Tim Cook in a
press release.

By the analyst, Apple could sell 17 millions total iPhones on China Mobile in 2014, reaching approximately 2% of China Mobile’s total subscriber base.

China Mobile chairman Xi Guohua. also said in a statement

iPhone customers in China are an enthusiastic and rapidly growing group, and we can’t think of a better way to welcome in the Chinese New Year than getting an iPhone into the hands of every China Mobile customer who wants one.

Apple’s iPhone is very much loved by millions of customers around the world, there are many China Mobile customers and potential new customers who are anxiously awaiting for this incredible combination of iPhone on China Mobile’s leading network.

The Good news is that  iPhone on China Mobile will now support 4G/TD-LTE and 3G/TD-SCDMA networks, providing customers with high-speed mobile service.”

    Wonderful new mate, Already using an Iphone 4 and I’m happy with it. Although I’m not a resident of China but I’m glad that apple deal with china.
